You need to be aware of what Christ says about some of the signs of the end times.

Opening Questions

How many “end of the world” movies can you think of? What makes for a good “end of the world” film?

Discussion

When we look at some of the storylines that are out there, the end times can be a popular topic. “Sign of the Times” by Harry Styles focuses on that topic. As you listen to that song, what are some of the images that come to mind?

Let’s see what Jesus said about this topic in Luke 21:5-35.

What are some of the things that the disciples discussed?
What did Jesus say was coming?
What are some of the signs that Jesus say will come in the future?
Which of these to we hear about today?
What are some things that Christ says about persecution?
How might this be encouraging?
What are some of the things that will happen in nature?
What are some of the reasons why these things will these things happen?
What are we encouraged to do?

Conclusion

As we look at all of the signs that Christ gives to us about the end we can see that more of those signs are in here today. We can be encouraged that Christ told us ahead of time. Thank God that He cared enough to let us know what to look out for. We can also be encouraged to maximize our opportunities to share our faith and to be alert. Ask God to help you to deal well with those you come in contact with.
