Objective

This session will remind participants of Jesus’ name and what that can mean.

Warm Up

Ask what is beneficial about having names.
Ask the group to share middle names.
Ask the group to share nick names. If they have ones they like, share how they got them.

Transition

There is something special about your name. Your name can get you access into a class, a test, or to an email or social media account. It can get you money or get you into trouble. In this session, we will look at the name of Jesus and what that means.

To help us to focus and look into the possibilities, we’ll watch the video to “No Other” by For All Seasons. As we watch the video, write or draw some of what comes to your mind as we think about the name of Jesus.

In this session, we have heard and read a good deal about the name of Jesus. His name is powerful and not only tells us about who Jesus is and what He is capable of, but also about what we are promised.
