Who Are They?
Planetshakers sends multiple music touring teams across the globe, ministering to millions in over 40 nations. Planetboom, as a part of this ministry, embodies the next generation and is passionate about encountering God and seeking His presence.

Comprised of young musicians, songwriters and vocalists, the team leads thousands of teenagers in breakthrough praise and worship every week. Relentless in their pursuit of God, they seek to change the culture around them through a new sound of praise and worship that is both relevant and powerful.

Planetboom was inspired by the diverse youth culture within Planetshakers Church, representing at least 60 nationalities. Planetboom exists to see this generation encounter the love of Jesus.

Youth Group Foyer Vibes
Gen Z has their own unique style and language. They live their virtual lives on social media and consume Tik-Toks like they’re going out of style. They are a creative, energetic, and expressive generation who measures everything in “feels“ and “vibes” but are they really so different?

Most of us have fond memories of our youth group years. There’s a certain nostalgic fondness for our youth meeting space, whether it was a host home, a dedicated youth center, or a cozy meeting space tucked away somewhere in the church basement.

We can remember that feeling (the vibe) of approaching our meeting space and the anticipation of seeing our friends and making another night of memories.

Planetboom is tapping into those powerful feels with their latest album, Youth Group Foyer Vibes, Vol. 1. I’m not sure if the “Vol. 1” was added to be ironic but I hope it means, as the label would imply, that they plan on releasing more volumes of music just like it.

The album contains 16 tracks for a half-hour of high energy, dancable, music delivering positive messages, that are just plain fun.

How To Use It
We’ve all been there. We open the doors some 30 minutes before group actually starts and are looking for good walk-in music that parents aren’t going to complain about. So, we type in a popular Christian song or artist into Spotify and get the tunes cranking. Before we know it, the algorithm has taken us from Kanye West’s latest worship album to one of his pre-conversion releases and... Oh no! Did we forget to turn on the explicit filter?

Welp! I guess we better clear some space on the calendar tomorrow for yet another meeting with the Lead Pastor.

Well, planetboom has you covered. Call up the “The Linc: planetboom: Youth Group Foyer Vibes, Vol. 1” Spotify playlist and let her rip for 30 minutes of uninterupted tunes.

If you have TV screens in your youth space you’re going to love this... planetboom has created a half-hour video of their DJ spinning the entire album from start to finish. Not only do you get the rockin’ tunes, you get to watch him DJ and dance around the planetboom youth space, at times even standing on top of the speakers!

With my students, I had the video playing as they entered and a small countdown running in the corner of the screen. I cranked it up to “11” and greeted everyone with high volume and high fives! They loved it!
